advertisement

This is a continuation of the series of articles laying out details in the Republican and Democratic platforms. This article covers the section on the economy.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Oh my. This plan is just begging to be ripped apart. I'll mostly bite my tongue for now. But, I have to say I am very disappointed in the lack of thought that went into the technology plan. There is so much more that could be said, e.g., alternative energy research, leveraging computer and internet capabilities in e-commerce, developing/promoting more efficient industrial practices, energizing the funding of basic science research to keep America a world leader, etc.

I agree completely. It's as if they skipped over technology. Return to the Moon? That is really the best he can come up with? What about exploring cutting-edge technology? or producing new technology that will allow us to compete in the 21st century.

    Well it is clear
    McC plan is 14 pages
OHB is 6 pages. (Surface scratching only)
Plus the version we have on OHB is outdated, since he keeps changing his (but in speech only).

Bor -- I don't know what you are referring to with the page numbers. It would be helpful if you were a little more verbose in your explanation.

Are you referring to some section in the respective party platforms?

BTW -- My comment is now seven lines long, so clearly it must be superior to yours which is only four lines. (JUST JOKING!)
